James Peters
I have always had a great passion for working with my hands. When I am not working on restoring teeth, I am often working on projects to restore and improve my home and historic barn. My other interests include tailgating for college football games and outdoor activities including fishing, sailing and golfing.
My wife and I also have a great interest in travel. Through her work as a graduate student and now a professor at MSU, we were able to visit wonderful places including Fiji, Hawaii, Solomon Islands, and Tahiti. We have a shared love of waterfalls and take every chance we can get to seek them out.
Our family has grown to five with our daughter, Avery, son, Troy and our chocolate lab. Dr. Peters is a member of the Michigan Dental Association, American Dental Association, Central District Dental Society, where he served six years on the Peer Review Board.
Kelly Johnson
Dr. Kelly Johnson is a welcome addition to Mason Family Dentistry, serving both adult and pediatric patients. As a mother of five, her gentle touch and compassionate attitude help establish excellent rapport with our pediatric patients. She attended Michigan State University, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. Dr. Johnson went on to attend the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association and the Central District Dental Association.
Away from the office, Dr. Johnson is devoted to her family and enjoys spending time watching her sons play baseball and watching her girls dance. And when she is not chasing around the family dog, she enjoys reading a good book too.
Torie
Torie has been with our office since 2011. She lives in Eaton Rapids with her husband Justin, two daughters Lillyana, Felicity, and her newest little one, Elloise. They have many pets including dogs, ferrets and chickens! When they aren't busy with sports, they enjoy spending their free time outdoors and up North.
Jessica
Jessica joined Mason Family Dentistry as a dental Assistant in 2025. She lives in Lansing with her Husband, Bill, dog Xena and cats DK and Sammy. Together they have a son, Adam and two daughters, Nicole and Kristina. In her free time Jessica enjoys spending time with her family, having cookouts and gardening.
Janean
Janean has been with Mason Family Dentistry since 2018. She and her husband Caleb have two children, Lilah and Rhett.
Pam
Pam is a dedicated Dental Hygienist from Jackson, with a passion for educating patients and helping them feel confident in their oral health. She graduated from Kellogg Community College in 2012 and earned her Bachelor’s degree from Sienna Heights University in 2014. Outside of work, Pam enjoys life on her mini farm, caring for her many animals and plants as well as spending time with her husband and two children. She loves watching her kids play sports, going fishing and getting lost in a good book whenever she finds a quiet moment.
Becky
Becky joined Mason Family Dentistry in August of 2020. She grew up in Barryton, a small town in central Michigan, now resides in Dansville. Becky is a 2012 graduate of Lansing Community College where she developed a passion for patient centered care. It is her personal mission to ensure each patient’s voice is heard and their issues, no matter how small or great, are treated compassionately and effectively. Outside of the dental office, Becky enjoys devoting her time to her husband and four precious children. If they’re not on field, diamond, or in a gymnasium you can find them enjoying our magnificent state of Michigan together!
Kirstie
Kirstie grew up in Mason and she’s a proud mom to Athena and Reid. Since starting with us in 2020, she’s been a huge part of what keeps our office going every day.
When she’s not keeping up with family life, you’ll most likely find Kirstie on the sidelines cheering at her kids’ soccer games or heading out on fun adventures with the people she loves most.
Renee
Renee joined Mason Family Dentistry in 2025. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from LCC in 2015 and went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from Sienna Heights University in 2016, receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Science and a minor in Healthcare Management. Renee not only holds a State of Michigan License in Dental Hygiene but, also in Cosmetology as well as a certification in Massage Therapy. When Renee isn't busy making healthy happy smiles, she enjoys cooking as her creative outlet. Renee resides in Mason with her husband Zi and two daughters, Evette and Hailey.
Samantha
Samantha moved to Michigan in 2017 from Colorado, where she grew up. She and her husband Brandon got married in 2021 and had their first baby, Hunter, in 2022. They have two dogs Roxie and Remington. She enjoys reading, photography and spending time with family.

Amy
Amy taught math at Mason High School for 26 years. She has two sons Blake and Zac. Zac and his wife, Avery have Amy's first grand-puppy Sequoia. Amy is a super soccer fan who loves to watch and play sports. Amy is also very involved in Bible Study – she’d love to talk to you about it!
Fun Fact: She has a twin sister and they love to go hiking together!
Avery
She graduated from the University of Michigan, where she also played collegiate soccer. In 2025, she joined Mason Family Dentistry as a Patient Care Coordinator, quickly becoming a valued part of the team. She is currently pursuing her dental degree at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and is excited to hopefully return to Mason Family Dentistry as a dentist in the next four years. Recently married to her husband, Zac, she enjoys life with their chocolate lab puppy, Sequoia. Outside of dentistry, she loves coaching soccer, staying active, spending time outdoors, taking her puppy for walks, and traveling.
